How would you install the cPanel?

cPanel is a #1 Hosting Control Panel in the web hosting industry and you can easily install it.

Basic requirements:

Fresh CentOS 6 or 7 must be installed on your server.

1.
 Sign in to your server via SSH Client.

2. Copy the below command and then paste it in the SSH Console. After that, click enter.
cd /home && curl -o latest -L https://securedownloads.cpanel.net/latest && sh latest

3. The installation of cPanel will begin. It would take around 30-45 minutes.

4. After completing the installation, the console may show you a message like “the cPanel Installation has been completed”.

5. Open https://your-server-IP-here:2087 (WHM)
6. Add your username “root” in the respective section.
7.Enter the root password in your password section

8. Press the “Login” button.

cPanel/WHM Setup Wizard:

Step 1: Read and accept the terms of the agreement.

Step 2: Setup your Networking:
– Server Contact Email ID: Add your email ID. You may receive the cPanel related alert on the email.
– Hostname: If your host name is fine, then it is better to leave as it is.
– Resolvers: Enter 8.8.8.8 in primary and also enter 8.8.4.4 in secondary.

Scroll down and check at the end of your page and choose “Save & Go to Step 3” option.

Step 3: If you are using more than one IP and these IPs are not listed, then it’s recommended to add your new IP address and choose the “Go to Step 4” option. Alternatively, if you are not using any additional IPs, click the “Go to Step 4“.

Step 4:
1. Find “Nameserver Configuration“, and then select the Nameserver program like Bind, PowerDNS, etc or leave it as it is.

2. Find “Choose which nameservers domains on this server will use” mention your domain nameserver like ns1.example.com and ns2.example.com (Replace example.com with your domain name).

3. Find “Configure Address Records for Nameservers & Hostname“, check the option “Configure Address Records for Nameservers“, add your IP address in IPv4 for NS1 and NS2, and if you have an IPv6, add it over the IPv6 field.

Check the option “Add “A Entries” for Hostname” and choose “Save & Go to Step 5“.

Step 5: Leave all the options as it is, or change them if you need this. Then select “Save & Go to Step 6“.

Step 6 – (Final Step): Check “Use file system quotas” and press “Finish Setup Wizard” option.
