Non-SSL Settings (NOT Recommended)
| Username: | youremail@yourdomain.com |
| Password: | Use the email account’s password. |
| Incoming Server: | mail.yourdomain.com IMAP Port: 143
POP3 Port: 110 |
| Outgoing Server: | mail.yourdomain.com SMTP Port: 587 |
| IMAP, POP3, and SMTP require authentication. |
Notes:
- IMAP email access would simply coordinate between your mail application and the server. Messages that have been removed/ replied/ read would show up on both in the application and server.
- POP3 would not coordinate with your server. All the messages will be marked as read/replied/removed in your mail application and would not show up on your server. It simply means that your future mail downloads along with POP3 would show all the messages as unread.
- Outgoing mail would be sent with an SMTP.
- We would suggest using POP3 over SSL/TLS or IMAP over SSL/TLS since they offer high security for all the interactions with your remote mail server.
