How would you change the hostname for reference purposes in solusVM?

  • Sign in to your SolusVM Control Panel.

 

  • If you have different kinds of VPS, choose the suitable one.

solusvm select vps (1)

 

  • Scroll down, and check ‘hostname’, enter the hostname in your text box, present under ‘new hostname’

solusvm hostname reference change

 

  • Reboot will not be required as the hostname is changed for reference purposes only.

 

Example hostnames:

server1.example.com
hostingserver.example.com
