HOW TO EDIT .HTACCESS FILE VIA THE CPANEL FILEMANAGER?
- Sign-in to your cPanel account.
- In the ‘’Files” section, tap on the “Files Manager” icon.
- You will be redirected to ‘cPanel File Manager’.
- Select the appropriate domain name or folder location
- Tap on the “Go” button.
- For editing your root directory .htaccess file, go to the ‘public_html’ folder
- In case, .htaccess file does not show, tap on the “Settings” button on the Right Side of the top menu in the File Manager.
- A new small window will be redirected.
- Check the “Show Hidden Files (Dotfiles)” option and tap on the “Save” button.
- You will be able to see the .htaccess file.
- Right-click on the .htaccess file on tap on the “Edit” or “Edit Code” option.
- Right-click on the .htaccess file on tap on the “Edit” or “Edit Code” option.
- “Code Editor” window will appear, click on the “Edit” button.
- A new window will be redirected.
- Make the necessary changes and click on the “Save changes”.
